About New England Clean Energy
New England Clean Energy (our new name—we were New England Breeze Solar from 2006 to 2012) is a leading solar energy company in Hudson, Massachusetts. We design, engineer and install high-quality, reliable solar electric, hot water and parking lot lighting systems for homes and businesses.
All solar installation companies are not created equal. If you get to know us, we hope you’ll agree with our other customers that we have many fine qualities. Here are the ones we think are most important, and which set us apart from the competition:
Local
Solar incentives have lured a lot of out-of-state companies to Massachusetts. New England Clean Energy always has been, and always will be, locally owned and operated. All our employees live in the area and are active members of the community. We pride ourselves on having long-lasting relationships with our customers, and we will be here for the long-term to meet your needs. Solar panels have no moving parts so we won’t see you often for maintenance, but we will always answer your questions and help out with the occasional service request.
Experienced & Qualified
Most people know us as the Solarize Harvard installer, but we’ve been around since 2006, making us one of the older, more experienced companies around in a relatively new industry. We’ve put more solar on Massachusetts homes than any other local company—more than 180 systems installed to date. Factor in the out-of-state companies and still we’re in the top five.
All our crew members are licensed electricians and Mark was one of the first professionals certified by NABCEP—the only nationally recognized solar certification program—as a PV Technical Sales Professional. He is also a licensed contractor. Jonathan is a NABCEP-certified Solar PV Installation Professional.
Our own crews perform all solar and electrical work. When we occasionally subcontract excavation or plumbing work, we use only licensed, insured subcontractors with whom we have a track record, and we are always onsite when they are.

Integrity
We founded this company out of concern for the environment, not for maximum profit. That may not win us a lot of business awards, but we’re more concerned with the balance between earning a decent living and putting as much solar as possible into the region. We’re not naïve. We just believe individuals can make a difference, and we want to be among those individuals.
Furthermore, our systems are superior quality, starting with the SunPower and other leading solar panels we feature, and our service is memorable—in a good way. Just ask our customers.
Clean
We try every day to be the cleanest crew in New England. That won’t sound silly if you’ve ever had a contractor leave your property looking like a bomb went off. And believe us, customers appreciate this attention to detail.
