In the past couple of weeks, we’ve had some big changes happening here at New England Clean Energy.

ceo new england clean energyAfter serving as our Sales Director for three years, Doug McCartney takes on the role of Chief Executive Officer. Our former CEO, Jim Elkind, retired on June 1st. It’s hard to say good-bye to Clean Energy so Jim didn’t — he’ll still be involved with the company as an owner.

I’m very excited to work with Doug in his new capacity. During his time as Sales Director, he established the company’s commercial solar business, oversaw residential sales, and was instrumental to the success of five Solarize programs. In the midst of a changing market and during a time when a lot of our competitors are leaving the industry, I’m confident that Doug will help Clean Energy come out on top.

Evan originally joined us as Director of Supply Chain. In his new position, Evan oversees solar electric system installations, supply chain and procurement, shipping, warehousing, fulfillment and systems.

The COO role is the perfect way to take advantage of Evan’s 13 years of operations experience. His commitment to providing the highest quality products at the most cost-competitive prices will be critical to the continued success of our company and to our continued high customer satisfaction.

Cheers to positive changes and solar for years to come!
