It’s common knowledge solar is booming, and it’s here to stay. Like with most consumer goods (think computers, cell phones), a mature product means even better deals for you, the buyer. Here’s how:

#1 – Because solar is so popular, more companies are installing it and competing for your business. While that can be annoying if they constantly call you or show up at your door, increased competition generally means more choices, lower equipment prices and – at least from some installers – better service. (And for the record, New England Clean Energy never cold calls or goes door-to-door.)

#2 – Lower prices mean roofs that didn’t work for solar a year or two ago may work today. If a solar company (including us!) or maybe a friend said your roof wasn’t good for solar, it’s time to re-consider. For example, a partly shaded, east-facing roof wasn’t economical for solar a few years ago. Today, if the pitch is low, it can work just fine.

Iffy roofs can be tricky to judge, so let us evaluate if yours works based on the latest pricing. Call me at 978-56-SOLAR.
