The solar electric system adorning this contemporary Colonial style house has 15 Sanyo 215-watt panels, and Enphase M210 micro-inverters. Hip roofs can be tough for solar since you’re starting with a triangle instead of a rectangle. But, as the aerial photo shows, it’s still possible to find enough room to install solar. (Those are solar hot water panels on the southwest-facing roof.)
