Just kidding, the ice in this rink wasn’t solar-generated, as you may have guessed. New England temperatures take care of making the ice and keeping it frozen. But how often do we get to photograph someone skating in front of a solar energy system we installed?

This 22-panel system generates enough electricity to cover about 73% of the family’s electricity bills. And it lowers their price per kWh from 19 cents to 10, locked in for a few decades.

(P.S. If you look closely, you’ll see the “skater” isn’t even wearing skates. It’s Brian from our crew, pretending to skate. It was a photo opportunity too good to pass up!)
