No brainer

March 3, 2020

This 36- panel solar energy system will pay the owner back in only 5 years! He will receive more than $22,000 in green income just from the Massachusetts SMART program over the course of the first 10 years. Altogether, his 25 year Net Present Value (NPV) is about $65,000. It sounds like a no brainer. […]

Going green is easy

March 2, 2020

This neat 15-solar panel system is designed to generate 5,480 kWh per year, which is 106% of the homeowner’s annual electricity usage. So the homeowner is all set for any future increased usage (perhaps an electric car?), plus he’s making green income from the SMART program. So even though he is using a solar loan […]

Great addition to Rhode Island solar family

February 7, 2020

These homeowners in the Rhode Island town of Westerly installed a 30 SunPower panel system that covers 81% of their annual electricity usage. That’s like getting a rate cut from the $0.19 per kilowatt-hour (kWh) that they were paying National Grid down to just $0.06. Part of that comes from the incentives they will be getting, which includes roughly $16,000 REG income. Altogether, that makes their 25-year return on investment 216%.

“Solar Works!”

October 4, 2018

Our estimate for this solar energy project said the family’s roof, which is 95% of an ideal roof, could produce enough electricity to cover all of their needs, and that their high electric rate of $0.21 per kilowatt-hour (kWh) from National Grid would be lowered to $0.02 per kWh on average over 25 years. Sometimes […]
