Unclear on how solar pays for itself? Well, this system earns a 5-figure refund from the federal government in the form of a tax credit. Over the first 10 years, it earns more than $34,000 in SREC income. And over 25 years, it will produce more than $100,000 of electricity! The owner will pay off his investment long before the 25-year mark. Oh, and the average price of his solar electricity comes out to about 6 cents per kWh, versus the 18 cents he pays the utility for mainly fossil-fueled electricity.
To facilitate this installation of 36 SunPower 345-watt panels, we moved four skylights and a vent pipe.
Here’s what the customer says about NE Clean Energy, including our prices:
“My only regret is not going solar with NE Clean Energy sooner!!!!!! NE Clean Energy pays attention to their customers as if they were a Mom n Pop store, but yet they have the scale to compete with anyone. They are second to none.
“All the reviews I read pointed me to them, and after hearing horror stories from customers of other installers, I’m glad I didn’t look back. They gave me the confidence to go solar when I have always felt uncertainty with technology, regulations, etc. Just wish we had done this sooner. We appear to be on track to generate even more electricity than we thought – so their numbers were conservative – yet another thing I wouldn’t trust other companies with.
“I am cheap, so I like to get the lowest price, but not when quality and risk enter the equation. With NE Clean Energy, I might have paid a little more than with another company, but an investment like this needs to be of high quality, with a reputable company. Can’t say enough nice things about them.”
