Is My System Working?

Q. How do I know if my system is working?

A. There are three ways to know if your system is working:

  1. The green light on your inverter will be on.
  2. The production meter will be slowly counting upwards as the wheel spins.
  3. You can check online at your inverter company’s monitoring website (e.g. www.solrenview.com, www.solaredge.com). You’ll want to get to know your monitoring site as each is slightly different. For example, Solrenview says your system is “Online”. SolarEdge shows a green checkmark after “Site Status”

NOTE: The first two indicators only work if your system is producing power. So they won’t work at nighttime! However, you can check your inverter monitoring website at any time to see if your system is “online”.

Find information about turning your system on and off here.

Q. Why is the light on my inverter blinking?

A. When there is not enough sun intensity to produce power, such as at night, the inverter shuts down to conserve power. The light blinks and the green light goes out. The inverter will start up again the next morning. You don’t have to do a thing.
