Who Doesn’t Like Getting Two for the Price of One?
Tony of Roslindale, MA: Solar Electric
“It’s nice to know that the electricity my home uses is . . . helping the environment, contributing to lowering our carbon footprints, and saving [me] money.”
Most of our customers come to us with two motivations for their solar investment: the prospect of reduced electrical expenses and the pride of doing something good for the environment.
Tony Vrame of Roslindale, MA was one such customer who jumped on the solar bandwagon in 2019. “I knew that this could be a real benefit to the environment and financially,” he said.
But he worried about the upfront cost and solar panel installation process. So he researched Massachusetts’ SMART solar incentive program and discussed his options with the team at New England Clean Energy. With this new information in hand, he realized “the decision was pretty easy.”
“A co-worker recommended NE Clean Energy to me,” Tony recalled. “I was impressed by the responsiveness of the staff [and] their knowledge. They aren’t just salesmen. And the bid to do the job was better than others.”
Once on the schedule for solar panel installation, the process was “very smooth and efficient.” Our solar panel installation crew went to Tony’s house in January 2020. They attached the roof racks, placed the panels, and wired the inverter. “The installers worked on some of the worst couple of days weather-wise: rain, cold, and wind (Jan 2020),” Tony recalled. “But it all went well.”
Today, Tony is reaping the benefits of his investment. “It’s nice to know that the electricity my home uses is largely coming from the sun, that I’m helping the environment, contributing to lowering our carbon footprints, and saving money,” he remarks. When asked if he was happy with his decision, Tony gave us our favorite response: “Yes.”
